Founded in 2008, the ASVOFF festival is the crystallisation of a change brought about by the new possibilities offered by the new media. Fashion professionals are turning in droves to the film medium to display their world. A jury composed this year of the director Mike Figgis, the composer Michael Nyman and Bryan Adams, are chairing a competition of short films. “A Shaded View on Fashion Film” is the expression of fashion through film using short films, documentaries, and other formats, including the “Light Series”, works lasting less than a minute selected in collaboration with Italian Vogue. This event is the brainchild of Diane Pernet, stylist, photographer, journalist, blogger and avant-gardist.
