The Thatcher’s Children issue Launch Parties

Under the Influence magazine celebrated the launch of our 7th issue: The Thatcher’s Children issue with two parties in two cities: June the 7th at Door Studio Paris and June the 10th at The Hackney Rose in London.
The events began at 19.00 with an exhibition showcasing some of our favorite photos from the issue. With our Paris bars kindly sponsored by GROLSH, SHO CHIKU BAI Sake and The Bottle Shop bar (Paris). Pink 47 London dry Gin provided our bar for the London event with great staff and superb Gin with a stylishly designed bottle!
The guests arrived en masse and we partied hard… Just the way we like it!
A projection of our latest issue ran throughout the evening with music provided by JETBOY in Paris, who churned out some gems from the Thatcher era creating the perfect atmosphere. In London we had a candle lit back room with a constant stream of classic tunes picked and played for us by Phil from Rough Trade East, the soundtrack to the evening was complete with an energetic performance from Rodeo Massacre, the room was packed and buzzing!
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who came to celebrate this moment with us, and to everyone who has supported our magazine since it’s conception.
Thanks to GROLSH, PINK 47 GIN, The BOTTLE SHOP bar and SHO CHIKU BAI Sake. Thank you to our interns: Chloe and Dorota who did a superb job tending our bars, and our fashion assistant Joy and photo assistant Blue for running the guest list, taking the party pictures and generally helping us out in any way possible! Thank you to Hugo for attending both events and filming for our party videos, and thanks to all our families and friends who gave us their time and support in many ways to make these events a real success. Finally thank you to DOOR STUDIO Paris and the HACKNEY ROSE London, for providing us with the fantastic venues!

Under The Influence, The Detroit Issue Launch Party – Paris

On December the 10th, Under the Influence magazine celebrated the launch of our 6th issue: The Detroit issue, at Upper East studio, Paris.
The evening began at 19.00 with an exhibition showcasing some of our favorite photos from the issue. With three bars, kindly sponsored by Absolut Vodka, XL Wines, and The Bottle Shop bar (Paris), the booze began to flow in abundance!
The lights went down and the atmosphere transformed with a Detroit themed projection created for us by our friends from The–Drone.com. With DJ sets from Cicerobuck and Jetboy the soundtrack to the evening was complete, the crowd arrived en masse and we partied until the early hours… Just the way we like it!
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who came to celebrate this moment with us, and to everyone who has supported our magazine through the last year.
Thanks to Mike, Vanessa and Karen for being the sickest Paris bartenders, to Milena, Kirsten and all our friends who gave us their time and support in many ways to make this party a success. A big thank you to XL WINES, a small French company who produce great wine from the Mediterranean region, with stylishly designed bottles, ABSOLUT vodka, who provided us with leather and stud suited bottles of Vodka from their Rock line, and THE BOTLE SHOP Bar, who made sure we had enough beer to keep the party going in true Bottle Shop style. Oh and I better not forget, the biggest thank you to David from Upper East studio, for providing us with the best venue around, and trusting us to transform the remains of the evenings carnage back into the slick studio that is Upper East, all in time for the next photo shoot!

We invited for this Detroit Issue two very talented minds to create the finest Detroit Mixes: Aaron Siegel (Side A) and David Buick (Side B).
